After reaching 250 mana, Manaflow Band restores 1% of your missing mana every 5 seconds.
Gain increasing amounts of AD or AP, Adaptive over the course of the game.
Grasp can easily be procced by Gangplank from range with [Q] poke ([Q] acts as an auto-attack). The extra damage and heal allows you to out-sustain your lane opponent.
Bone Plating on Gangplank is a great rune for ensuring lane pressure in tough matchups where you are expecting to take a lot of early game damage.
Second Wind, like Bone Plating, is great for helping you to absorb incoming lane harass damage in tough matchups.
Revitalize synergizes well with the healing from both Grasp and [W] to keep your lane sustain quite high so you can power-farm for items in tough matchups.
Manaflow Band helps to overcome the high mana cost of [Q] spam. Being able to repeatedly proc Grasp with [Q] is an important part of this.
Gathering Storm makes you a late-game monster. The extra stacking Attack Damage synergizes well with the inherent Armor Pen on your [E] barrels.
