Glacial Augment
Immobilizing an enemy champion will cause 3 glacial rays to emanate from them towards you and other nearby champions, creating frozen zones for 3 (+ the immobilizing effect's duration) seconds that slow enemies for 20% (+90% per 100% Heal and Shield Power) (+6% per 100 Ability Power) (+7% per 100 bonus Attack Damage) and reduce their damage by 15% against your allies (not including yourself).

Glacial Augment on Veigar open you up to a build where you can build Twin Shadow and GLP to set yourself and team up for a controlled teamfight.

Dark Harvest synergizes extremely well with Veigar's 1-shot burst nature, massively empowering your already strong [R] execute.

Cooldown: 4sActivates on damage occurring after the impairment. Why?
If you successfully hit your target with [E] the bonus True Damage will help secure the kill before they even come out of the stun.
Ghost Poro
When your wards expire, they leave behind a Ghost Poro, which grants vision for 90s. Nearby enemy champions scare the Ghost Poro away.
Gain anadaptive bonus of 1.2 Attack Damage or 2 Ability Power for every Ghost Poro spawned and when your Ghost Poro spots an enemy champion up to 10 stacks.
After gaining 10 stacks, additionally gain 10 adaptive force.Why?
Keeping wards up on the sides of lane is one of the most important things you can do as a mid-laner. Ghost Poro, while small, provides very reliable vision. If you'd prefer to go all-out on damage instead of safety, take Grisly Mementos instead.
Treasure Hunter
Gain an additional
50 gold the next time you collect a Bounty Hunter stack. Increase the gold gained by20 gold for each Bounty Hunter stack, up to130 gold .
Bounty Hunter stacks are earned the first time you get a takedown on each enemy champion.Why?
The Spell vamp from Ravenous Hunter **scales incredibly well with Veigar's natural high damage** scaling, allowing you to survive tough fights. Another great option for getting into [E] range is the bonus Movement Speed from Relentless Hunter.

Veigar is the master of **AP scaling** and Gathering Storm is the ultimate scaling rune. If you'd prefer to have a stronger early game, take Scorch instead.
Manaflow Band
Hitting an enemy champion with an ability permanently increases your maximum mana by 25, up to 250 mana.
After reaching 250 bonus mana, restore 1% of your missing mana every 5 seconds.
Cooldown: 15 secondsWhy?
Manaflow Band allows you to sustain in the early laning phase so that you're able to build up stacks and scale your AP into the mid game.
