Aery cannot be sent out again until she returns to you.Why?
Aery on Rakan allows you to repeatedly apply the shield with [Q]'s heal and a spaced-out timing of both [E] shields, for tons of damage mitigation.
Nimbus Cloak
After casting a Summoner Spell, gain a
Move Speed increase that lasts for 2s and allows you to pass through units.

Nimbus Cloak synergizes fantastically with Rakan's [R], empowering your ability to hard engage a skirmish/teamfight at will.
Celerity
All movement bonuses are 7% more effective on you and gain
1% Move Speed .Why?
Rakan makes great use of the bonus Movement Speed from Celerity to get around the teamfight and the extra AP from your [R] movement speed means your engage damage and [E] shield's are that much stronger.
Scorch
Your next damaging ability hit sets champions on fire dealing 20 - 40 bonus magic damage based on level after 1s.
Cooldown: 10sWhy?
Scorch allows you to poke and trade aggressively in during the laning phase if you are able to land [Q].
Bone Plating
After taking damage from an enemy champion, the next 3 spells or attacks you receive from them deal 30-60 (based on level) less damage.

Cooldown: 55sWhy?
Bone Plating's burst damage mitigation helps you to survive and withstand incoming damage after a hard-engage so that you're able to get in and get out.
Revitalize
Gain 5% Heal and Shield Power.
Heals and shields you cast or receive are 10% stronger on targets below 40% health.Why?
Revitalize is fantastic on Rakan as is empowers the heal from your [Q] as well as both shield's on [E] and your passive shield.






Let’s Dance

Guardian
Guard allies within 350 units of you, and allies you target with spells for 2.5s. While Guarding, if you or the ally take more than a small amount of damage over the duration of the Guard, both of you gain a shield for 1.5s.

Guardian on Rakan allows you to block a large amount of burst damage with a well-timed [E] and the bonus Movement Speed empowers you to follow that up with a strong counter engage.
Shield Bash
Whenever you gain a new shield, your next basic attack against a champion deals
5 - 30 (+2.5% Bonus Health) (+15.0% New Shield Amount) bonusadaptive damage.
You have up to 2s after the shield expires to use this effect.Why?
Shield Bash on Rakan gives you a decent amount of additional defensive power while your passive is on as well as a bit of additional all-in damage pressure.

While above 70% health, gain an
adaptive bonus of up to 18 Attack Damage or 30 Ability Power (based on level).
Grants 1.8 Attack Damage or 3 Ability Power at level 1.Why?
The extra AP from Absolute Focus is great for sustaining in lane with [Q] poke as well as granting you a bit of extra up-front damage with you engage combo.
