After immobilizing an enemy champion, increase your Armor and Magic Resist by 35 + 80% of your Bonus Resists for 2.5s. Then explode, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies.

Resistance bonus from Aftershock capped at: 80-150 (based on level)Why?
Aftershock, like Courage of the Colossus, is a great keystone choice for Alister as it gives you defenses upon engaging and a bit of extra damage thanks to the explosion.
Demolish
Charge up a powerful attack against a tower over 3s, while within 600 range of it. The charged attack deals 100 (+35% of your max health) bonus physical damage.
Cooldown: 45sWhy?
Demolish on Alistar allows you to snowball early kills/picks into a team-wide gold advantage from early towers.
Bone Plating
After taking damage from an enemy champion, the next 3 spells or attacks you receive from them deal 30-60 (based on level) less damage.
Duration: 1.5s

Bone Plating allows you to negate a lot of initial incoming burst damage when diving into the enemy team for an engage combo with [W]->[Q]
Unflinching
Gain 6 - 12 (level scaling) Armor and Magic Resist when crowd controlled and for 2 seconds after.
Why?
Unflinching allows you to stick to a target while your [E] charges after Flashing onto them, helping you proc the extra stun for the kill and follow up with additional CC.
Hextech Flashtraption
While Flash is on cooldown it is replaced by Hexflash.
Hexflash: Channel for 2s to blink to a new location.
Cooldown: 20s. Goes on a 10s cooldown when you enter champion combat.Why?
Hexflash in an incredibly threatening ability on Alistar if you learn how and when to use it effectively. If you're able to control a lane brush with a Control Ward you present a ton of lane pressure being able to Flash out at any moment. Hexflash is also great for roams to the mid lane where you're able to flash in the lane from either the Raptors or behind the mid walls.
Jack Of All Trades
For each different stat gained from items, gain one Jack stack. Each stack grants you
1 Ability Haste .
Gain 10 or 25 bonusAdaptive Force at 5 and 10 stacks, respectively.Why?
Minion Dematerializer can be great on melee supports for reliably proccing Targon's from range as well as helping you keep the lane push for importabt roams.
